Sri Lakshmi Ganapati Chaturāvṛtti Tarpanas

Sri Maha Ganapati Tarpanam

Sri Maha Ganapati Tarpanam is a ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesha, aimed at seeking His blessings, appealing to Him, and removing obstacles in one’s life. The word “Tarpana” means offering or oblation. This ritual involves offering water energized with the Ganapati mantra, mixed with flowers, rice, and other sacred items to Lord Ganesha while reciting the powerful Ganesha mantra.

Sri Rajarajeshwari Sadhakas, under the guidance of Guru Sri Ramesh Paramathmuni Garu, have been offering Ganapati Tarpanas on every Chaturthi with great devotion and Shraddha.

Significance of Chaturavrutti

Chaturavrutti (or Chaturāvṛtti Tarpaṇam) refers to a profound, 444-fold, four-stage ritual offering dedicated to Lord Ganapati (Ganesha) within the tradition of Śrī Vidyā. The term “Chaturavrutti” roughly translates to “four-fold” or “four times,” symbolizing the multiple layers of offerings totaling 444, performed with the intention of bringing spiritual and material benefits.
