Sri Chakra Puja, also known as Nava-Avarana Puja, is a highly significant and revered form of worship in Hinduism, specifically focused on the divine feminine, Devi. It is considered the highest form of Devi worship and is believed to bring numerous blessings and spiritual benefits.
The puja involves the worship of the Sri Chakra, a complex sacred geometric symbol, and the recitation of mantras.
Key aspects of Sri Chakra Puja
Sri Chakra Yantra: The Sri Chakra is a central part of the puja, representing the universe and the Goddess. It is a complex geometrical design with multiple layers, each representing a specific aspect of the divine.
Nava-Avarana: The puja involves worship of the nine layers or enclosures within the Sri Chakra, known as Nava-Avarana. Each Avarana represents a different aspect of the Goddess and is associated with specific rituals and mantras.
Mantras and Rituals: The puja involves the chanting of specific mantras, particularly the Panchadasakshari Mantra, and the performance of various rituals, including the placement of offerings and lamps.
Benefits: The puja is believed to bring blessings for physical and emotional health, wealth, harmony in relationships, and spiritual progress. It is also believed to remove obstacles and facilitate the path towards spiritual enlightenment.
Significance of Purnima: The Sri Chakra Puja is often performed on Purnima (full moon), as the powerful energy of the full moon is believed to amplify the energy of the mantras and yantras.
